Race for Autism

Benjamin, Ben and Evan at the starting line

On Saturday, April 19th, our family ran/walked in the 1 mile Fun Run at the local Race for Autism. As many of you know, Benjamin was diagnosed with high functioning autism when he was 3. We have been really blessed to have great schools, programs and resources in this area for him. This was a really fun day for our family. Benjamin saw several classmates and teachers and we saw several people from church that came out to support the race. Evan was happy that the T-shirts were his favorite color.

Evan's pants were loose so he kept holding his shorts up as he was running or they would start to shimmy down his legs with each step. He was so funny!

Cooling down with some water!

Jacob and Evan had fun bouncing in the moon bounce.

There was even this cute dog supporting the cause:)

Matthew was happy taking a ride!

Jacob was happy with his pretzel:)

Jacob slides...wheee!

Benjamin had a lot of fun. He ran a half a mile before getting tired and walking.
Pretty good for a first run.

More Soccer with Benjamin

Benjamin continues to enjoy soccer.

Matthew and Evan hung out on the playground while Benjamin played.

Above is Oscar and below is Benjamin from Benjamin's class at school that also play soccer.

Minor crash on the field. Below is a video of Benjamin and Oscar working together to make a goal.

Jacob the Tattoo Artist (?)

As you can see, Jacob did a pretty good job decorating himself with markers.
