Boys for Sale!

Why do I ever buy my kids toys when they have so much fun with these kinds of things?

They were being so cute and silly...

and giggly....

I realized during the photo shoot that this was a box that my sis-in-law had given us some leftovers from a yard sale in....

Even though they are so crazy at times that I feel like putting them in box and selling them in the front yard, they are priceless and precious and they are my sacred responsibiity and I love them.

I made whipped cream yesterday and Jacob dropped the spoon he was licking on the chair...

So he came up with a solution!

It was finger licking good...

even if it was a little messy:)

Benjamin's School Project

Benjamin has been studying China in school and was assigned Mt. Everest for his class presentation. So we talked about it and went with a paper mache model.

Here are the beginning stages. He is comparing it to Mt. Rushmore which is the smaller hill he is making here.

Here is the finshed project! He presented at school today and got a very good grade, pretty much the highest you could get. I was so proud of him! There's a video below of him practicing the presentation.

Little Man Matthew

Matthew will be 18 months on Wednesday and will officially get to join the ranks of the nursery class! Here he is in his cute little suit this past Sunday. He's growing up too fast! He is starting to say quite a few things, loves being on the phone and has a couple of songs that he "sings" that are posted at the bottom.

Everyone loves his curls and big blue eyes.

He loves Jacob's shirt and when I asked him "Where's Elmo?" He pointed and squeezed the nose. So cute!

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

The Trouble with Tribbles, I Mean Hot Wheels....

OK so growing up there was an episode of Star Trek where they found these cute little furball creatures they called Tribbles but they quickly realized they had a problem when the things started reproducing at an alarming rate. Sometimes I feel like that with my kids toys. Their latest obsession...Hot Wheels. As documented here, they are everywhere (and they hurt when stepped on in the dark). I just had to laugh at all the places I was finding them:)

Random Fun Photos!

Evan has such a crazy brain! He told us this was his cheese octopus from his nachos at supper one night!

Matthew has discovered the sandbox in the backyard and loves it! He just loves having a backyard in general and exploring it.

Evan and I went to Walmart last weekend and just when I thought we were done shopping, we walked by the boys clothing section. Before I could see what he was seeing, Evan flipped out "Mom, it's MarioKart! It's a shirt!" MarioKart has been their favorite game since Benjamin got it for his birthday and so when he saw these, he was going to pass out if we didn't get one for him and one for Benjamin. At least he didn't think only of himself:) So we got them and Benjamin was so excited. It was a good thing that the weather was unusually warm the next day because they would have still worn them if it had been 20 degrees. My cute little men!

Evan sporting his cool new sunglasses. They are blue, his favorite color. He loves blue so much that he will only eat on his blue plate at meals. I don't know what he will do at school when there are no blue lunch trays!

So much for the first day of spring.....

This is what we woke up to on the first official day of spring! Man, this has been a long winter! It melted off early and we still went to Rita's for our free Italian ices even though it was chilly. The kids had a delicious time (or Jacob says "Deee-wishus!").

St. Patrick's Day

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day by making green chocolate chip cookies for the kids. They thought it was pretty cool:) We read a book that Benjamin had gotten from school on the history of the day and Evan became very concerned to the point of tears afterwards that he was going to have to be Irish and wear green all the time because blue is his favorite color. Silly kid!

Evan's First Comic Book

Evan's friend gave him a comic book that he had made last week so Evan decided that he needed to make one too. The first part of this is based on a dream that Evan says that he had. Quite often, this is how he tells stories to me. I am not sure that you will be able to see everything very clearly with the scan but you will get the picture. Jacob's Funnies

Ben got an email from Jacob's Primary teacher at chuch yesterday. This was so funny that we had to share:)

"During a discussion of plants and vegetables yesterday, I asked your children what vegetable do french fries come from. The unanimous answer: McDonalds. Certainly an answer I didn't expect."

And here's a recent conversation that I had with my kids that made me laugh:

Mom: Excusez-moi!
Evan: That's not a real word!
Mom: Yes, it is! It's French for "Excuse me." Jacob, can you say excusez-moi?
Jacob: Excuse me moi!
