Jacob's First Haircut

I finally gave Jacob his first haircut last week. Usually I leave this to a professional the first time, but it had to be done and I hadn't found any one. I think it didn't turn out too bad and he kept most of his curls:)

I'm not too sure about this mom!

OK maybe this will be alright.

If I suck my thumb, I will feel better about all of this.

First Picture--this one is modest! He's got good lungs, and didn't really want to be weighed!










Jenny got to hold him right away.

He didn't want to open his eyes--those lights are bright!









But the nurses finally turned the lights down low, and he opened his eyes, so I handed him off to Jenny to take some pictures. He's a little confused at this point!








What happened?










I think he's hungry!












He still wasn't sure about all this, and so we sent him to get cleaned up.









And they brought him back with this knitted hat, and he was very comfy.









In fact, he didn't want to wake up!









But he let everyone hold him--Grandma,

And Evan









And Benjamin, of course.


Benjamin kept saying, "I love you, Matthew".
