Halloween!

A lot going on with Halloween this year. I went to the school Halloween parade, we had a fabulous Trunk or Treat and Carnival at church and Evan's birthday (see next post). Fun times!

Benjamin won the candy count on the M & M's and a cake at the cake walk.

Jacob won cupcakes at the cake walk.

LOVED this costume!

Evan's 7th Birthday and Party

Here is the cake that I did myself! I don't usually like to brag but I was just so happy that it actually looked like the picture when all was said and done. It was fun to make!

My friend Autumn made these totally awesome cookies for the goodie bags. Isn't she so talented? These were a BIG hit!

We did a smaller cake on his actual birthday. I don't usually since it's on Halloween but he really wanted one this year.

Up close with Dwarfy.

Cooking with the Orchards

Ben and I love it when we get a chance to cook together and even more when we get to experiment. At the top you will see our apple fries. They turned out really well and are quite tasty when done with Honeycrisps. At the bottom was our attempt at Apple Cider Donuts which turned out pretty well. We have a couple of things that we would do differently next time but nothing major. So success with both apple recipes!

Matthew starts Preschool

Matthew started preschool with a developmental delay group a couple of weeks ago and last week they got to see a firetruck and he got this cute hat. I love the picture with Mr. Potatohead dressed like a fireman too:) He really loves getting on the bus and has been coming along so well with talking. We have had a lot of breakthroughs communicating with him and he tells us he is happy there so it is very exciting! We do miss his EI therapistst though. Jen, Andrea and Katie were great ladies and we will never be able to thank them enough for how they helped Matthew start coming out of himself to start talking. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Ringing Rocks

We had a chance to go back to Ringing Rocks to meet up with Ben's sister, Stephanie, her husband, Dave and their son, Ruben the first weekend in October. It was nice because it was cooler, not so crowded and it had just rained so we finally got to see the waterfall. It was a pretty day to be there.

Matthew turns 3!

Cookie Monster helped wish Matthew a Happy Birthday this year. I can't believe he's not a baby anymore:( He had a fun day playing with new toys and having cake and water ice with his big brothers.
